In a mysterious and surreal interzone somewhere between Tehran and Winnipeg, the lives of several characters intertwine in surprising and mysterious ways. Elementary school students Negin and Nazgol find a sum of money frozen in the winter ice and try to recover it. Meanwhile, Massoud leads an increasingly confused group of tourists through Winnipeg’s landmarks and historical sites. Matthew leaves his menial job in a Quebec government office and embarks on an enigmatic journey to visit his mother. Space, time, and personal identities merge, intertwine, and echo in a surreal comedy of misdirection.
